We primarily cover Kansas City and the surrounding 50-mile radius, but can travel farther for large or ongoing projects. Just ask us and we’ll do our best to accommodate
We provide professional aerial drone services for construction, industrial, and commercial clients. Our offerings include drone mapping, aerial video and photos for marketing and progress tracking, roof and site inspections, volumetric measurements and interior 3d virtual tours with LIDAR generated 2D "as built" floorplans.
While we don't do physical repairs on crashed or broken drones, we are happy to help with pairing issues, firmware updates and software errors that might be keeping your equipment grounded.
We have also just begun providing in person Part 107 instruction and tutoring. As a former FAA Flight Check Pilot, Air Force Pilot Training Instructor, FAA TERPS procedures expert and current FAA-certified drone operator, Steve brings professional aviation experience to consumer-level gear.
Generally we don't fly our drones indoors for insurance reasons, but instead use a Planix R1 camera that creates LiDAR measured 2D floorplans and 3D Virtual Tours. The real estate industry has used these tools for great effect and they have a tremendous amount of value for architectural firms needing "as-built" documentation for an existing project. They can be life savers to construction companies during the bidding process and have served spectacularly for interior construction progress reporting.
The best answer is it depends on how close the airport traffic patterns and instrument approaches are to your project. We use the FAA LAANC program to get near real time approval to fly in most controlled airspace. In airspace that is so close to the runways that LAANC doesn’t cover it, we are well versed in the FAA Airspace Authorization program and have used it for approval to fly in a Class D “0 grid” next to the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport (my wife said I should have given an "airspace nerd warning" before this answer).

Yes. We prefer a designated site contact for safety and coordination. We can generally deliver a quote before a site visit, but locations of cranes and construction equipment can sometimes impact the way the project is flown to ensure safe operations.
We deliver in formats such as JPG, PDF reports, 2D/3D orthomosaics, point clouds, and CAD-ready files—depending on your project needs.
We serve general contractors, project managers, developers, facility managers, architects, engineers, insurance professionals, commercial and residential real estate professionals and sub contractors across the Kansas City area. We also are happy to help the general public with privately owned drone technical services and advice.
